Six months to deliver a wedding gallery? A year? I’m sorry, but that’s not okay.

Editing takes time. Delivering quality work takes time. But your clients shouldn’t have to chase you for the photographs they paid for.

I deliver my couples’ galleries within 4 weeks, and that deadline is written into my contract. Not because I rush my work, but because I’ve built a workflow that allows me to deliver what I promise.

Being a professional photographer isn’t just about taking beautiful photos. It’s also about delivering them on time.

Your work isn’t finished when the wedding ends. It’s finished when your couple receives their photographs.

People think I photograph weddings for the money. But honestly, there are easier ways to make a living as a photographer.

I do it because I’m a damn softie. 🥹

Because I get to witness the kind of love, joy, and emotion that reminds me what life is all about.

The tears, the shaky voices during the vows, the proud parents, the friends who can barely hold back their emotions…

I get to be there, camera in hand, documenting it all.

And every single time, it reminds me why I fell in love with this job in the first place.

The photographer is not the main character.
There’s a difference between directing a photograph and directing the entire moment.
Sometimes I’ll move you, change the light, or take control because I know I can make the photograph better.
But when something real is happening, I’m not going to interrupt it just to get a better shot.
Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot with a wedding happening around it.
It’s your wedding. I’m just there to photograph it.

I’ve been seeing so many videos lately of people posting a €15k–€20k wedding photography quote and acting completely offended by it.

But… you went looking for a photographer in that price range. What did you expect? 😂

Wedding photography has different markets and different levels of service. Some photographers charge €700, some €2,000, some €5,000, and some €20,000+.

I start at €2,000 myself.

You don’t need to hire the most expensive photographer. But you also shouldn’t be shocked that luxury photographers charge luxury prices.

*Your taste can be expensive. That doesn’t mean the photographer is overcharging.*

“That’s not my responsibility.”
There’s a difference between respecting the boundaries of your job and using your contract as an excuse to stop caring about the final result.
I’m not saying your wedding photographer should become your wedding planner, retoucher, or venue coordinator.
But if there’s something small that takes 10 seconds to fix and makes the photograph significantly better… why wouldn’t you?
Remove the distracting sign. Fix the fallen centerpiece. Clean up the background. Retouch the temporary blemish.
Being a documentary photographer doesn’t mean being careless about what you deliver.
And being professional isn’t only about doing exactly what’s written in your contract.
Sometimes it’s simply having enough judgment, care, and pride in your work to think:
“Yeah, I could fix this. So I will.”
Because at the end of the day, your couple isn’t going to remember what was technically “your responsibility.”
They’re going to remember the photographs you gave them.

¿En qué momento ser fotógrafo de bodas se convirtió en trabajar con un cronómetro?
Sí, tenemos contratos.
Sí, nuestro tiempo vale.
Y sí, hay circunstancias en las que una hora extra se cobra.
Pero una boda no siempre sale como estaba planeada.
Si la ceremonia se retrasó por algo que estaba completamente fuera del control de la pareja, ¿de verdad quieres ser tú otra fuente de estrés?
Para mí, ser profesional no es solamente cumplir exactamente lo que dice un contrato.
También es tener criterio, empatía y tantita humanidad.
Porque detrás de esas 10 horas no hay un timeline.
Hay una pareja viviendo uno de los días más importantes de su vida.
Y eso, para mí, también cuenta.
