Brazo de Hierro Photography Freelance photographer based in Barcelona Specialized in cycling photography, but with a previous knowledge in advertising photograph.

Brazo de Hierro, born in Girona in the mid 80's, may sound like a name of a supervillain or a superhero, but is the name of an active photographer since 2003, who camouflages his talent behind of a black-rimmed glasses. Portraitist of the life, like a magician who manages to encapsulate in the time a memory for remembering it all your life, and a lover of the simplicity and the natural light. In t

he digital era, his obsession is the incessant research of the “one-night s*x feeling", unique and lifeless of the analogic photography

Flew to Munich (first time ever), stayed less than 52h and, basically, in a 300–400m stretch of a street.

Hotel → coffee spot → Marcel’s CAAD museum ( ) → hotel.

That’s where I saw the new CAAD14 for the first time, watched the build, and documented it (you know, my usual way of working and aim to keep Andreas happy with the photos ).
But of course… I still pulled out my Ricoh GRIIIx for some “sh*tty pictures”. 📸

Long story short:
Sharing a bit of BTS and some bikeporn for this post.

I’ve developed a new addiction:
Taking a job I already delivered… and then absolutely destroying the photos for my own pleasure. Only heavy edits a completely different world from what the client gets.

So here’s my take on the latest by .
A full-on storm, rain hammering down, mud everywhere, and me stuck in the middle of the Bardenas Reales, absolutely soaked trying to keep the camera alive.
Pure madness & fun. ⚡🌧️📸

This past year, I couldn't follow so closely the At least, I didn't miss one of the races I like the most, the , but on the other hand, I could only go to 2 more races.
I always say the same thing; in hardly any way, you can compare the races here with those in Belgium.
But, when you have been following those races for years, you know how to take advantage of every corner of the circuit to take good pictures, you almost know everyone, and honestly, what you can compare to the races in Belgium, is the enthusiasm that the organizers, riders or the public put in them.

It's been a while since, for first time, I knew this brand.
When the fixed gear was in the best moment in Barcelona.
And since then, they have had their ups and downs, but they have always kept on rocking.

You may like their philosophy more or less, and just like other brands in the cycling industry, you either like them or hate them.
But when something is done well, it lasts for time and what the f**k do you want to say, it's been many years and these bastards are still in the business kicking ass with every new thing they do.

And personally, I've been shooting the photos of their latest mess in Paris.

In a previous post, I already talked about what I like about the autumn season, of its colors, the difference in temperature, or the light itself.
But I have to admit that I freak out and I really love the of this season of the year.

Maybe I've seen too many but whenever I'm riding through the mist, I wonder what it would be like to see some monstrously gigantic thing, crossing the road.

📸 Photo for fall/winter collection 2021.

The bicycles are gathering dust or mounted on rollers.e house. Only allowed to go out to go to the supermarket, pharmacies, or basic necessities.
May 2020.
Continued confinement in Spain.
It is already many weeks without being able to leave the house. Only allowed to go out to go to the supermarket, pharmacies or basic necessities.

The bikes are collecting dust, or mounted on rollers.

But, for those who had a small outdoor space at home (that is, the backyard), that was an escape route, at least, to live that moment of freedom outside home.

Although while you are there, with your moment of "freedom" you hear how your neighbor goes to throw the trash in front of your home.
Mayo 2020.

Since I got my for , I always look at the trails in the mountains.
No matter if it's from the car or pedaling, in order to discover the trails that are hidden inside and not always visible to the naked eye. 🏔

Although, sometimes, the most incredible paths aren't at first sight, or in places where it seems totally impossible that there is a trail there and that you can go riding a bike.

Like this site that has in his backyard that he just discovered for me a few weeks ago.

Frequently I get messages from people who are just starting out in photography, asking me if I need an assistant for my photo shootings and in this way learn from a professional.

Honestly, I hardly ever need anyone.

That doesn't mean that for specific jobs, I'll going to need a trustworthy person to help me to do my work.
But the truth is that the only assistant I take with me, whenever I can, to my photo sessions is this long-winded and four-legged dude.

Whoever knows me, or comes to a shooting with me, I try to bring with me Atlas, as long as the work I'm going to do lets me.

Immediately make friends with anyone, he love bikes and try to chase or run on their side (he thinks he's a greyhound), but on the other hand, such is a priceless assistant.
