TIFOSI: a special World Cup cover story for Circle Zero Eight.
In Italian, tifosi means fans or supporters. The word comes from tifo, a kind of fever.
For this story, we channelled the feverish excitement of football fandom and the creative ways fans show up for their team. We were drawn to the idea of ritual, and to the way symbols carried on the body can become gestures of devotion, identity and good luck.
