The Colours of Morocco (2016)

Here’s some of my unpublished work from the archives.

Morocco in June was not the easiest place to be. The heat and the constant hassling made the experience particularly challenging.

However, Morocco taught me to see colours - the gold in the dunes, blue in the alleys and silver under the moon.

It taught me to see the light and the shadow, on the beautiful faces and the ornate architecture.

It taught me to feel the warm wind of the desert, the smell of the medinas and the energy of the people.

I’m delighted to announce that my portrait of Caroline has been shortlisted for Portrait of Britain Award!

This photograph is part of my series I’ve been creating in collaboration with over the last 7 years.

Photographed during the NKD Festival, a celebration of young British naturist, this portrait captures a fleeting, surreal moment of freedom. Caroline had just leapt into a tank at a water park in Poole, her limbs suspended, her hair floating like paint strokes.

There’s no fear, no shame - only the purity of a moment where body and self become weightless, defiant and free.

Pune to Goa (2025): We were feeling nervous about taking an overnight train in India. After navigating the labyrinth like station and crowded platforms, we thankfully we found ourselves sharing a cabin with two delightful and kind souls who we shared chai, food, hours of bantz and even skin care products with. Thank you and Niraj for the fun ride.

We said goodnight but never got to say proper goodbyes in the morning as we got off the train at an earlier stop in the wee hours of the morning while they were still asleep. Until next time my friends!
