Celebrate an incredible 140 years of Warrington Photographic Society. They'll be here for their annual photography exhibition in just 2 weeks and we're very excited to see what they have been working on. Here in our Main Hall from 23rd June - 11th July. Don't miss it!

Our next meeting will be on Tues 9th June. We will be holding our Annual Exhibition Competition with Jeremy Roussak as our judge for the evening.

The judge will view over 100 prints and choose 1st, 2nd & 3rd then award some Highly Commended, Commended etc, in the 1st half and then do the same with the Digital images in the 2nd half.

Due to the nature of the evening, this will be for members only, but we welcome visitors to view our Photographic Exhibition from the 24th June onwards. More details to follow about the exhibition.....

Our next meeting will be on Tues 26th May. We have a brilliant talk & pictures of 'India' by our own member Ian McCluskey.

In the 2nd half of the meeting we will stage a members Photo Skills Development. Members are invited to bring in up to 3 images for a friendly critique and advice on improvements by our own members.

Next meeting will be on Tues 12th May. The presentation & talk will be:- 'Wildlife My Way' by Lynda Haney.

We are privileged to have the award winning photographer 'Lynda Haney' as a member of Warrington Photographic Society. Her lecture will be full of tips and help on how to photograph nature and make the most of photoshop editing skills.

Our next meeting will be the Annual General Meeting on the 28th April. As this is a club AGM it is for members only. However, we look forward to welcoming visitors at the following meeting on the 12th May.

Our next meeting will be on Tues 14th April where we welcome the award winning photographer Tony North, who will be presenting his renowned 'Cityscapes, Urban & Creative' lecture.

Tony will offer tips, techniques and equipment needed to produce fantastic images, as well anecdotes about the locations.

During the talk he will discuss some important themes in these genres of photography, such as when to convert to mono, or colour and when images might benefit from the presence of people.

Very pleased to say that Warrington Photographic Society won the Marsden Cup last week. The competition is a 'themed' panel of 6 images - our winning panel was titled 'Birds in Flight'

The competition was held at Ellesmere Port PS with 10 camera clubs competing.

Our next meeting will be on Tues 31st March. We are pleased to welcome Diana & Brian Magor to present the Hoylake Exhibition.
This will be an excellent night. We will see the best of the UK's photograhs on our projector and enjoy listening to the music which will accompany them.

Our next meeting will be on Tues 17th March. In the first half of the evening we have our own member Russell Hadfield with a presentation and a talk on:- 'Photography on the Cheap'
Russ will show us several cheaper alternatives to photoshop and tips on making your own equipment for macro photography. He has also researched several free websites to help you improve your photography skills.
In the 2nd half we will be showing the LCPU folio prints with members participating in a critique.

A few images of our 'Pet Photography' night hosted by our member Chris Johnson and her fabulous dog Star. A great night, members had a lot of enjoyment and learned a great deal, thanks to Chris.
