The work has officially begun. 🔧⚡

After months of planning, sourcing parts and talking about it, we're finally installing the new electrical system in Lottie's van.

Battery, inverter, charger, cables everywhere... absolute chaos right now, but it's exciting to see it all starting to come together.

Hopefully it won't be long before she's got a reliable power system and can get back to enjoying van life properly.

Yesterday morning we were at Grandma’s in France. Two days later, we’re in La Manga, Spain.

13 hours driving on day one, another 3 on day two… and we made it.

The reason for the trip? We’re here with Lottie and her kids to start rebuilding the electrical system in her van for a new YouTube series: Fix My Dream.

Big project ahead. This is just the start.

Something a bit different is coming…

I’m heading back to Spain soon to help rebuild a struggling off-grid setup for a single mum living full-time in an older motorhome with her two kids.

New power.
Solar.
Batteries.
A lot of problem solving.
Probably a bit of chaos.

Not entirely sure what this turns into yet… but I think this might become something bigger.

Trying to get my carte de séjour in France should be straightforward… but it’s anything but.
My kids are French. I’m their dad. We’re based here with their grandma.
But somehow I’m stuck in a loop where I can’t prove they live here unless I’m allowed to stay… and I can’t stay unless I prove they live here.
Four months of paperwork, going round in circles.
If you’ve dealt with this kind of bureaucracy before, you’ll understand the frustration.
If anyone’s been through this in France and has actual advice, I’m all ears.
