Agder Iztacmitl (White Arrow) is a sacred pipe (Canupa) carrier and Sun Dancer from Mexico. He is also a spiritual leader of the Singing Stone Church in Crestone, Colorado.
His father was a medicine man, and Agder was introduced to the medicine path at the age of eight. He has worked with the Mazatec mushroom tradition for over 30 years and was initiated more than 25 years ago. He was adopted by the Yuwipi man Christopher Long, who gave him permission to carry and share the pe**te sweat lodge ceremony.
Today he leads Indigenous Relations at the Institute of Ancestral Ceremonies. He builds good relationships with indigenous communities and spiritual leaders, and he makes sure they are represented with respect. His work has taken him to Europe, India, and across North and South America.
