Elegance, softness, and the last of the light x

Last frame holds so much meaning. When Jess and I first connected she shared that she found me through a detail shot I had done of wedding shoes suspended on a lemon tree. Knowing that, I felt the responsibility to create an image worthy of that trust. The light was slipping away, but we caught it just in time.

It finally came and went, the day we’ve all dreamt of for her. And we couldn’t imagine a better person (I love you Papo), or a more wonderful family for her and us to be a part of.

Behind the scenes came the worries about the weather, the rain that undoubtedly came and didn’t cease, the road closures, sinkholes, flash floods… all of it. But legend has it that on the day you were born in California, an earthquake struck and power went out at the hospital. And for the little cute-loving tornado you’ve been since… I’m not surprised.

It was only fitting that the sky cried and the earth shook once more on your day. It was perfect, just as you both are. I love you.
