Buen inicio de semana!! 🌞🌷🌷Hoy tenemos un precioso día soleado en Dundee 🥳🥳 Después de la loca semana invernal con super nevadas incluidas, han subido las temperaturas y parece que el invierno poco a poco va quedando atrás.
Hoy estoy feliz de compartir con ustedes el arte de otro de mis paisanos, J Mejia Pisfil quién ha sido tan generoso de sumarse a esta bonita causa de compartir arte en medio de una pandemia mundial...un rayito de luz, esperanza y conocimientos para todos 😍
Esta hermosa obra se llama "El Eterno Retorno" y esta hecho en óleo sobre lienzo. J nos habla de ella: "Es la representación simbólica de nuestras búsquedas místicas, la ida y la vuelta a los distintos confines del universo. Lo pinté durante mi estadía en París que es donde se encuentra actualmente la obra.
El personaje principal es una especie de ente, un concepto que en la edad media se aproxima a la idea de clérigo y que en la cultura mexicana se llama “Nagual” o animal de poder. Es una Lechuza, símbolo de la noche y sus misterioso, encarnación de la sabiduría de los Mu***os. En el cuadro También aparece la flor de loto y un feto naciendo de él, símbolos de la evolución spiritual según la cultura hindú.
En mi obra intento mostrar mediante imágenes eso que descubrió y sustentó el antropólogo francés Claude Levi-Strauss el “Estructuralismo”, es decir lo que las culturas del mundo comparten como saber y estructura social".
Para mí el arte es salud mental y efectividad en el uso de tu energía para producir belleza.
¿Qué sientes cuando estás pintando? Escucho mi respiración, reconozco que cada célula en mí esta viva.
¿Quiénes son tus maestros inspiradores?
Todos los artistas de las antiguas civilizaciones. Amo el arte antiguo y me refiero no solo a las obras de arte, sino también a sus narrativas literarias. Por ejemplo, la mitología universal.
¿Es importante en tus cuadros? ¿Te ayudan a contar cosas?
Es su espina dorsal, no sólo para contar sino para dar fe a la humanidad de su potencial como una unidad filosófica.

Hello everyone!! Today we have a beautiful sunny day in Dundee 🥳🥳 After the crazy snowstorm, the temperatures have risen, and it seems that winter is gradually being left behind 🌞🌷🌷
Today I am happy to share with you the art of another of my countrymen, J Mejia Pisfil who has been so generous to join this beautiful cause of sharing art in the middle of a global pandemic ... a ray of light, hope and knowledge for all 😍
This beautiful work is called "The Eternal Return" and it is done in oil on canvas. J tells us about it: "It is the symbolic representation of our mystical searches, the going and return to the different ends of the universe. I painted it while I was in Paris, which is where the work is currently located.
The main character is a kind of entity, a concept that in the Middle Ages approximates the idea of a clergyman and that in Mexican culture is called "Nagual" or power animal. He is an Owl, symbol of the night and its mysterious, incarnation of the wisdom of the Dead. The painting also shows the lotus flower and a fetus being born from it, symbols of spiritual evolution according to Hindu culture.
In my work I try to show through images what the French anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss discovered and sustained by “Structuralism”, that is, what the cultures of the world share as knowledge and social structure ".
For me, art is mental health and effectiveness in the use of your energy to produce beauty.
What do you feel when you are painting? I listen to my breathing; I recognise that every cell in me is alive.
Who is your inspiring artist?
All artists of ancient civilizations. I love ancient art and I mean not only works of art, but also their literary narratives. For example, universal mythology.
Is it important in your paintings? Do they help you to tell stories?
It is their backbone, not only to tell but to attest to humanity of its potential as a philosophical unit.
