Blending Super 8 and film photography.

It feels to me as though people are choosing analog—as if the mind itself were calling for calm, seeking an escape from the whirlwind of rapid-fire content and endless scrolling. I created this session with Pau Aresté and mar gonzález bernáldez with precisely that in mind: the home as a sanctuary, far removed from the noise.

FEELS LIKE CINEMA:

- All the horizontal shots were captured using 1.33x anamorphic lenses, which is why they feel so cinematic.

- All the vertical shots were captured on analog film, giving them a distinct look.

- I love blending the style that’s inherent to me—cinema—with the style I’ve developed over the years: editorial.

Better late than never—I’m wrapping up the summer with this series and getting something ready for autumn.

Between film and digital, between people & shapes.

“GETTING READY”

For me, this is the most creative and favorite part of the entire day. It is a time for sharing ideas and conversations with the bride—a moment to let our imaginations run wild and where I feel I truly connect with people. The bridesmaids are an essential part of it all, often sharing in the bride’s nervous excitement. I simply love these moments.

“Kids don’t belong at weddings.”

We’ve heard it more times than we’d like.

So we wanted to talk about why we think the opposite — and why, maybe because we’re becoming parents ourselves, we feel this one a little differently now.

Lately, I’ve been really enjoying shooting on film and eagerly anticipating the wait for the developing process. Waiting is a rarity these days, and working with physical formats takes me back to my own era.
