Biggest solar storm in 20 years. G4/KP9.

🇪🇸KP9 sobre Islandia 01/2026, con el 90% de la isla cubierta por nubes. A las 5:00 AM, tras horas de coche y cientos de kilómetros por pistas de tierra para atajar, encontramos esta ventana de cielo limpio. No había nadie en cientos de kilómetros. Solo tres personas vivimos esa noche irrepetible en este spot icónico del norte.

Probablemente no vuelva a ver nada igual, por el momento y porque tengo la fotografía aparcada. Quizá sí mereció la pena el esfuerzo. ¡Pronto más de esa noche!

🇺🇲The biggest solar storm in the last 20 years.
KP9 over Iceland, with 90% of the island covered by clouds. At 5:00 AM, after hours of driving and hundreds of kilometers on dirt tracks, we found this clear window in the sky. No one else for hundreds of kilometers. Only three of us lived that unrepeatable night.

I’ll probably never witness anything like this again.

Endless Ridges
