This portrait of Coco Deville I took last year when I first met the Drag Kings has been shortlisted for Portrait of Britain. The photographer with the most liked and shared photograph from today until Monday at 10:00 a.m will get an interview in The British Journal of Photography one of the biggest photography magazines.

SCRITH BITCH 2! [Esp abajo]

Once again I had the pleasure to go the open mic of this amazing show. Like last time I took some 5 min backstage portraits with some of the artist.This time I got to shoot the instigator of all this funtastic madness called SCRiTCH Cabaret, the charismatic and super bussy and running around Drag King Oliver Assets.
Some other artists came along and had a ball shooting and watching the show.

Una vez mas tuve el placer de ser la fotografa para la ultima noche de Scritch Cabaret en The Wardrobe Theatre. Hice algunos retratos rapidos antes de empezar el show con los artistas y esta vez por fin pude fotografiar al cerebro detras de todo esto, el Drag King Oliver Assets.
Fue genial conocer a mas drag kings and queens y ver sus actuaciones

SCRITCH!

Last sunday I had the chance to be the photographer in the new show created by the amazing drag Oliver Assets.
Scritch Cabaret is a space open to all the artist who want to explore and rehearse their performance in a safe place in front of and open minded audience with no bounderies in genre and purely open to improvisation.

I had 5 mins ish to take some quick shots of the artist in the backstage before the show, these two are the ones I liked the most, the rest you can see them by clicking in the cabaret page.

For Bristol based people and surroundings, go see them at the end of every month at The Wardrobe Theatre, gonna fu***ng love them!

Addis Kitwana.
We work together in a caffe, he is jamaican, borned in Bristol. His parents belong to the generation that came to UK in the 60's with the promise of jobs and a better future.
He is also vegan and most likely the coolest jamaican chef you can find in whole city. You can find him sometimes at Cosies! messing around with his records.
