The BPG was founded in late 2010 by a group of interested and experienced photography members of the Booth Western Art Museum, a Smithsonian affiliated museum. The Guild continues to grow with over 170 members from all areas of Atlanta and north Georgia. Through its sponsorship by the Booth, the Guild is able to provide programming on a national scale. s held annually at the museum for three months. The monthly meetings include critiques of members’ work by professional photographers, hands-on classes, as well as lectures by visiting photographers. Periodically, workshops and classes on post processing software are offered. A Booth Photography Guild Lecture Series is held in the museum theatre two or more times annually.
