I managed to race out between the storms a few days ago and get some shots of this lovely villa.

Owned by Scandinavians and up for sale with Sergio Fernández Properties, there are clean lines and subtle design touches throughout.

Here's a place I shot on the coast, nearer to Malaga City in Rincon de la Victoria.

It's quite a size, with seven bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, so would suit a variety of different uses but is currently run as a bed and breakfast.

To be honest, the thing that struck me most wasn't the size, massive though it is, but rather the incredibly high level of fixtures and fittings, particularly the windows which must have cost an absolute fortune. When you close a window it feels like closing the door of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Combine this with the additional use of solar panels for electrictity and hot water (see photos) and you have an incredibly energy efficient property.

Of course, the views really are something else too, looking both east and west along the coast, as well as up into the mountains!

I'm on a roll now. Here's another house, a neighbour's actually, that I photographed for Sergio Fernández Properties in December.

As well as the main house, there is also a two-bedroom annex than could be used for guests or rented out seperately as a side business.

Allegedly, the pool is the largest privately owned one in Competa. I certainly haven't seen a bigger one.

Following on from yesterday's sleek and modern mountain-side villa, here something a little more traditional, but finished with a very clean Northern European aesthetic from Yvonne-Properties in Competa.

This three bedroom, two bathroom house sits a short five minute drive from the centre of town and less than thirty minutes from the coast.

Por desgracia, la gran mayoría de los agentes inmobiliarios son demasiado perezosos para esforzarse lo más mínimo. Prefieren hacer unas cuantas fotos rápidas con el móvil, con las paredes torcidas, los cuencos del perro y los cubos de la fregona a la vista, los juguetes de los niños esparcidos por todas partes, las mangueras del jardín cruzando el césped y los muebles de la terraza amontonados en una esquina.

La fotografía profesional y una buena puesta en escena (home staging) aportan muchisimo más valor en el momento de la venta que lo que cuesta producirlas, pero la mayoría de los agentes inmobiliarios, no todos, no son capaces de ver más allá de sus narices.
