No começo era só para uma dias que a gente ia ficar lá. Realizando uma oficina de fotografia analógica na ilha da fazenda, na volta grande do Rio Xingu. Logo depois fui percebendo que não ia ser fácil sair de lá. A força da história das pessoas da comunidade da ilha da Fazenda me fez ficar quase um mês. Escutando, pescando, dormindo com uma jibóia no teto, brincando de taco, e as vezes retratando o que significa morar lá. Esse foi o presente que eu ganhei. E esse o projeto resultante. ✨🙏🙌

Here in the North you can come across one of these quite often. The "aparelhagems de som" are some sort of roving sound systems ready to set up a pop up club almost anywhere. Within these structures Djs would display all sort of light and visual effects along with their mixes. Technobrega was the center of this music culture since 1950's in the North region of Pará state in Brazil.

Slowing down the pace. Being able to see things along the way. We travelled for days in that boat, watching the scene shift, but gently. Exchanging glances with the people from their homes. Watching us. Letting us pass by.

Last Saturday, the day after the toughest day of clashes in Barcelona, nonviolence prevailed. although there were police charges and barricades burning the police was not expelled with stones but gently made them understand that their presence was no longer required :)

Last night a demonstration was called in the same place where some of the toughest clashes between the police and some protesters took place. Some barricade was burned but another large part of the people remained still and seated until made the police back off.
