What do I love the most in photography? Alleyways, architecture (preferably Roman) and light fittings. LIGHT FITTINGS? Yeah, especially like this one in Las Vegas at the Venetian. The geometry fascinates me, the beauty is often unnoticed. Look up next time you pass a chandelier or something, you might be surprised.

For the Expo in 2008 in Zaragoza, an Olympic Park sized area was constructed, including this futuristic bridge over the River Ebra. Like a lot of the 24 year old park, there isn't much going on and is mainly used by dog-walkers, joggers and annoying architecture hunting amateur photographers.

This wide shot of the bridge captures a lovely Zaragoza day, although the biggest disappointment is that the bridge is closed and boarded up with barriers both sides of the entrance. Adding a laziness frustration to the aesthetic one. Still, at least it's still there.

Back In Vegas and despite the arrival of the Circa super-hotel in the downtown area, Vegas Vickie has retained her 42 year stay on Fremont Street. Originally above the 'Girls Of Glitter Gulch' strip club, she famously kicks her leg attracting the glances of many a passer-by. Thankfully, she still does kick the leg, however it's at the centre of one of the newest and wildest Vegas experiences around at the bright, modern and loud Circa.

The Aljafería Palace in Zaragoza is not only an historic medieval palace but the current residence of the regional government of Aragon. It has a large amount of historical artefacts and is astoundingly kept.

Having a huge interest in medieval cultures and architecture, the palace was a true experience - knowing that it once housed the Band Hud dynasty and I was treading the same steps was mind-blowing. The true high point of the Taifa of Zaragoza.

Here we see a garden in the palace. The colours and contrasts of the building, the trees and the straight lines made this an irresistible photo spot. The blue sky with a touch of cloud was a lovely addition too.

The beautiful city of Krakow in Poland is full of amazing historical architecture that appears untouched despite the city's troubled history.

Here, in the heart of the city we find St Mary's Basilica, which against a beautiful blue sky backdrop and guest starting a large number of interested birds and an oblivious plane in the sky - stands proud and tall.

Ah Las Vegas. Home of gambling, great food, bright lights and the Las Vegas Raiders. Las Vegans love their recent arrival into the world of major US sports and their NFL team is most certainly a true love for the city.

Here we have the Sphinx which sits outside the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, capturing this during the blue hour, you're lucky enough the see the light that shines brightly from the top of the Luxor just behind the head - adorned, of course, with the famous Raider eyepatch. Raaaaaideeeerrrrsss.

The amount of species at Oceanografic in Valencia is astounding. Here we have (what I believe to be) the Mauve stinger. Whilst illuminated by the blue environment, it's long tentacles and majestic tentacles are beautiful. Thankfully still abundant in the world, I was completely satisfied by the space and care given to this and although aquatic species.

Personally, I am still stunned at the clarity I managed to capture with my camera. Sometimes luck is very much on the side of the amateur photographer.

You sometimes wonder what the thought process is behind 'passenger path on bridge' design. Here, in Zaragoza, they didn't bother with some nondescript path that is just a necessary supplement to the road - they went all out making it a wild sensory overload tunnel. The floor, the metal effect - who knows what's straight anymore.

Of course, the tunnel leads out to a McDonalds. But after all what doesn't?
