Molana and Advocate Paulino Akany responded to the remarks made by Dr. Molana and Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, William Othwon, who had argued that Kal Akej is for women.

Paulino Akany rejected that view, saying that “there is no woman without a man” and that Akej is an association that includes everyone, regardless of gender.

He further called on elders and leaders to demonstrate respectful behavior. He emphasized that whether one is young or old, people should conduct themselves and dress appropriately, with respect for everyone, because respect is earned through respectful conduct toward others.
