PallasFoto ja TÜ linnageograafide koostöös loodi linnuvaates jäädvustatud fotodest teadusdekoratsioonid
Tartu Ülikooli linnageograafid tellisid Kõrgema Kunstikooli Pallas fotograafia osakonnalt fotod, mis annaksid edasi nende uurimustööde sisu, kaunistaksid tööruume ja looksid meeleolu. Koostööprojekt oli fotograafiatudengitele inspireeriv ning droonifotograafia praktikumi käigus sündis ligi 60 vaadet ja linnamaastikest, millest geograafid valisid välja seitse oma tööruumidesse.
„Koostöö linnageograafidega andis tudengitele võimaluse kogeda, kuidas fotograafia saab olla ühtaegu loominguline väljendusvahend ja teadust toetav visuaalne tööriist. Fotograafiatudengitele pakkus see võimalust vaadata tuttavaid linnaruume uue pilguga ning tõlkida teaduslikud küsimused visuaalsesse keelde."

Pallas Photography and University of Tartu Urban Geographers Collaborate on Scientific Decoration
In collaboration between the photography department of Pallas University of Applied Sciences and urban geographers at the University of Tartu, a series of science-inspired photographic works was created for the geographers' workspaces.
The urban geographers commissioned photographs from the Pallas Photography Department that would reflect the themes of their research, enrich their working environment, and create an inspiring atmosphere.
The collaboration proved to be an engaging and rewarding experience for photography students. As part of the Drone Photography course, nearly 60 photographs of urban landscapes in Tartu and Tallinn were produced, from which the geographers selected seven works for display in their offices.
The project provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience how photography can function simultaneously as a creative medium and as a visual tool supporting scientific inquiry. It encouraged students to look at familiar urban environments from new perspectives and to translate research themes and questions into visual language.

The project was supported by drone photography instructor Andero Kaljo, project manager Kaisa Eiche, and coordinated by the Development Manager Kristi Ploom.
