I think generations of new mums have heard some version of this advice 😀

I’ve been photographing newborns for many years, and when mums-to-be ask me for the one piece of advice I’d give them, my answer is always the same:

Hold your baby as much as you can. Cuddle them as often as you can♥️
Whenever they need you. And whenever you simply feel like picking them up and holding them close 🥹
Those tiny newborn days pass so quickly, and there really is no such thing as too many cuddles.

Did anyone ever tell you not to hold your baby too much because they would “get used to it”? 😊

One-year-olds are wonderfully unpredictable.
Some dive straight into the cake.
Some carefully inspect every little decoration before touching anything.
Some spend ten minutes studying a balloon instead.
And that's exactly why I love Cake Smash sessions.
There are no expectations and no "right" way to do it. We simply let them explore. The curious look, the first tiny taste of frosting, the messy hands, the proud smile... every child celebrates this milestone in their own way.

Every newborn session reminds me just how tiny the very beginning really is.
Tiny fingers. Tiny toes. A sleepy little yawn that lasts only a second.
And somehow, those little details become the ones parents miss the most as the years go by.
When I'm photographing a newborn, I'm not chasing perfect poses. I'm watching for those quiet moments that already feel like memories.
A baby resting safely in mum's or dad's hands.
The peaceful expression that only newborns have.
The feeling that time has slowed down, just for a little while.
These photographs will grow more valuable with every birthday. 🤍

One of my favourite parts of maternity sessions is when an older sibling joins in.
There is something so genuine about the way little children look at their mum's growing belly. They don't think about posing. They don't worry about the camera. They simply cuddle, laugh, hold on tight and make every photo feel alive.
These moments tell a bigger story than pregnancy alone.
They capture a family just before everything changes — when one little heart is about to become a big sister's or brother's greatest adventure.
I know these photographs will mean even more a few years from now, when they'll look back and remember that this was where their story together began. 🤍

One-year-olds never follow a plan... and that's exactly what makes Cake Smash sessions so much fun.
Some babies dive straight into the cake. Others spend five minutes carefully poking the frosting with one finger. Some decide the balloons are far more exciting than the cake. And every once in a while, someone discovers that frosting makes excellent finger paint. 😄
That's why I never expect children to perform.
I simply let them explore, play, make a mess and enjoy being exactly one year old.
The laughter, the curious little looks, the frosting-covered hands and the proud smiles... those are the moments that become everyone's favourites.
And yes... cleaning up afterwards is absolutely worth it. 🤍

Иногда во время съёмки в студии становится совсем тихо.. Малыш спит. Родители почти шёпотом переговариваются рядом. Никто никуда не спешит. 🤫
И в такие моменты я часто думаю о том, что эти несколько недель пролетают почти незаметно. Сейчас малыш ещё легко помещается в ладонях родителей, а через пару месяцев уже будет совсем другим.
Наверное, поэтому я так дорожу съёмками новорождённых. Это возможность остановить время хотя бы на несколько кадров. Чтобы спустя годы можно было снова увидеть эти сонные щёчки, крошечные ручки и вспомнить, каким было самое начало. 🤍

Some photo sessions stay with me long after the camera is packed away.
Maternity sessions are always like that. 💫 There’s something incredibly special about photographing a woman who is standing on the edge of a brand new chapter. You can see the excitement, the quiet anticipation, and the love that already exists for someone she hasn’t even met yet.
I never want these sessions to feel like posing for a camera.
I want you to breathe, move naturally, smile when you feel like smiling, close your eyes when the moment feels right. Those are the photographs that matter years later.
I truly believe these images become one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. One day they’ll look at them and see where their story began.
And every time I photograph an expecting mother, I’m reminded why I fell in love with photography in the first place. 🤍

Есть возраст, который невозможно повторить. 🤍

Малыш уже с интересом смотрит по сторонам, улыбается в ответ, изучает игрушки, пробует всё на вкус и каждый день учится чему-то новому.
Кажется, что впереди ещё столько времени. 😊

Но проходит всего несколько месяцев и этот маленький человек уже уверенно делает первые шаги, говорит первые слова, становится совсем другим.

Именно поэтому я так люблю фотосессии малышей. 🤩
Во время съёмки не нужно просить ребёнка улыбаться. Достаточно дать ему возможность быть собой. Поиграть, удивиться, засмеяться, показать свой характер. Именно из этих моментов рождаются самые живые фотографии. 🧸
А спустя годы вы будете смотреть на них и вспоминать не только, как выглядел ваш малыш. Вы вспомните его смех, любопытный взгляд, первые зубки и то счастливое время, когда весь мир помещался в маленьких ладошках. ✨

Есть фотографии, которые просто красивые. А есть те, которые со временем становятся бесценными 🤍

Новорожденный меняется буквально каждый день. Совсем скоро исчезнут эти крошечные пальчики, сонные щечки, привычка крепко сжимать кулачки и спокойно спать, завернувшись в мягкий кокон.

Фотосессии новорожденных проходят очень неспешно. Мы никуда не торопимся, делаем паузы на кормление и объятия, создаем спокойную атмосферу, чтобы малышу было тепло, уютно и спокойно. 🤍

Через несколько лет эти фотографии будут уже не просто красивыми кадрами. Они напомнят, каким тихим было начало вашей новой истории.
И, поверьте, именно тогда они станут особенно ценными. ✨
