Veladura es un ensamblaje en granito encastrado artesanalmente, inspirado en el agua como superficie de memoria y en las antiguas estelas centroamericanas como dispositivos de preservación simbólica.
La obra incorpora una imagen capturada por Edgar Dávila Soto en la Casa Batlló, Barcelona (2019), contenida manualmente dentro de la piedra. La fotografía surge de una interpretación de las ventanas internas y de las formas orgánicas de la arquitectura del edificio, evocando —desde una mirada fantástica— la apariencia de branquias o membranas acuáticas.
Entre arquitectura, imagen y mineralidad, Veladura plantea un cuerpo donde materia y memoria convergen: un contenedor de agua petrificada, territorio y tiempo.

Veladura is a handcrafted granite assemblage inspired by water as a surface of memory and by ancient Central American stelae as symbolic devices of preservation.
The work incorporates a photograph captured by Edgar Dávila Soto at Casa Batlló, Barcelona (2019), manually encased within stone. The image originates from the artist’s interpretation of the building’s inner windows and organic architectural structures, evoking —through a fantastical gaze— the appearance of aquatic membranes or fish gills.
Between architecture, image and minerality, Veladura proposes a body where matter and memory converge: a petrified container of water, territory and time.
