This page is where I've started posting my photos so they don't take over my personal fb page. In my travels, I was introduced to Maira Thomas of Scuba MAR Maids & Mar Hosted Trips. Af

ter one trip with her and 10 other women, my life was forever changed. Now we travel together frequently on both girls-only and co-ed trips, and she has even trusted me with leading some of her groups of amazing female divers!

Malaysia never disappoints! 🇲🇾🤿💙

Staying at the Seaventures Dive Rig with Mar Hosted Trips gave us the chance to experience some incredible diving.

At Sipadan, we were surrounded by huge schools of jacks and snapper, giant bumphead parrotfish, and curious sea turtles. Back at the rig, colorful clownfish, a giant map puffer, and countless other creatures filled the reefs and wreck structures with life.

Every dive brought something new to see. And honestly, I could have stayed underwater all day! 🌊🐢🐠

This black manta was one of many we had the privilege of seeing in Fiji on MHT trip #3. They are mesmerizing!

Meet my new best friend ... a Saddleback Anemonefish. 🧡🐠

Swimming around my face, checking me out, and generally making sure I was safe for its neighborhood. 😍 There’s something pretty magical about when a curious little reef resident decides to hang out with you.

I’ll take this kind of best-friend energy any day. 🌊💙

🦐 Talk about a hat with personality! 😂

A Ceratosoma tenue cruising along with a very large shrimp hitching a ride on its head. Underwater encounters never disappoint—there’s always something unexpected going on if you slow down and look closely. 🤿💙

POV: You realize you’re being followed… 🦈
…but honestly? This is exactly the kind of “followed” I’m hoping for underwater. 🤿💙

Sharks have a reputation for being terrifying, but a calm, respectful encounter like this is a beautiful thing. Watching a shark move effortlessly through the water, curious about its surroundings and completely at home in its world, is one of the most exhilarating experiences a diver can have.

The key is respect, awareness, and giving the shark space. No chasing, no touching, no provoking—just being a quiet visitor in their environment and letting the encounter unfold naturally.

And yes… having a dive buddy with 3,000 teeth following you is pretty damn cool. 😎🦈

Would you be thrilled… or terrified? 👇

Some encounters make your heart race… 🦈💙🐍

There’s nothing quite like the exhilaration of seeing a shark glide toward you on a dive, or watching manta rays soar overhead. 🌊 But then there are the quieter moments that somehow feel just as magical — discovering a tiny nudibranch hiding in the reef, finally getting that photo of a little glass shrimp, or simply spending time alongside a sea turtle. 🐢✨

Big or small. Powerful or delicate. Every dive has a way of reminding me just how incredible this underwater world really is.

Every adventure, every creature, every moment underwater… makes my heart sing. 💙🤿

And I’ll never stop chasing that feeling or wanting to help save the ocean I love.

🐍 Reverse parking… but make it underwater. 🤿

This Napoleon Snake Eel (Ophichthus bonaparti) was cruising along the sandy bottom in Bali when it decided it was time to disappear. Instead of swimming forward into the sand, it backed itself in—tail first—until the ocean floor swallowed it up! 😳

One second: free-swimming eel.
Next second: “Nope, I live here now.” 😂

Nature never stops surprising me beneath the surface. 🌊💙
