It's the end of a working day and it's time to play!

These sea lion pups soak in the sun on the sandy shores of San Cristobal, one of the many exquisite islands that make up the famed Galapagos Islands! The marine life abounds at the Galapagos, from sea lions and sea iguanas, to hammerhead sharks and whale sharks
It's a dream come true. You'd spend everyday picking your jaw up from the floor here, as you marvel at everything that this paradise holds!

This is one of the very few shots I love from my time at the Galapagos. As such, it's more of a piece that sits on it's own rather than with a collection of photography prints (good thing the pups here have each other for company). Although, I'm considering creating a new print collection dedicated to solo pieces such as this, for other furry friends of ours as part of a larger conservation print collection. Perhaps these cute little pups wouldn't mind being in a print collection with the orangutans of Boreno that I shared recently. What do you think? 🤔

In the depths of the lush, green cloud forest of Mindo, Ecuador, lies a birdslover paradise. Now for those who claim you aren't a birdlover, you haven't been to Mindo yet!

The abundance of hummingbirds flying through the trees, feels like a dream! It's almost like standing in some sort of magical Eden, or like stumbling across a sealed off, forgotten in time paradise; the one you see in the movies.

It took me hours and thousands of shots (I'm not kidding) to capture the perfect moments of the different, multicoloured hummingbirds that now make the Hummingbird print collection. But I'm not complaining! I guess it's one of the perks of the job! 😌😍

Snuggled in close to mum, this baby orangutan watched on as I captured this shot from the jungle floor below. Orangutans are only found on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo. This moment was captured in Central Kalimantan, Borneo while I was volunteering, planting trees and making a video of the experience.

There's nothing like being in the middle of a jungle, with no reception, and in the presence of these peaceful creatures.

Hello, hello, hello.

It's high time I introduced myself. My name is Liz and I'm the photographer behind Equator Noon. I'm like Dora the Explorer, with a camera. At least I've been called Dora once by a friend, as I was planning a backpacking and volunteering trip to Borneo, Indonesia.

I love an adventure, the wilderness, and am really curious about people and different cultures. I especially love capturing the beauty that makes up all of the above on camera, to share with as many people as possible. There's only so much I can share with words but a photograph or a video, well... it helps in conveying the awe inspiring in our world.

I'm a first gen Aussie born from a Russian, Mongolian and Chinese background, based on Gadigal Land, Sydney, Australia, and absolutely love my city!

I created Equator Noon to share my adventures in the hope that you'll create your own adventure! Or perhaps my photographs will inspire your next one. There's so much to see and experience, and so many wonderful people to meet out there.

Thanks for joining me here at Equator Noon! May you go boldly in chasing the unknown! Be sure to let me know if you do, I'd love to exchange stories! ☺️

It's not every day that we get to have a glance at all the work that goes on behind the scenes of a decorative painter but luckily for me, Naomi of Nyamuk by Naomi Cullen. Pintura decorativa let me do just that!
