Shadows of the Coast

Along the Mediterranean coast of Tipaza, the Yellow-legged Gull has gradually abandoned rocky islands and cliffs to inhabit the modern city. Perched on rooftops, electric wires, and concrete structures, this “White King” has become a silent witness to the transformation of urban coastal life.

Through black-and-white imagery, this series explores the fragile intersection between nature and modernity, where the gull no longer belongs entirely to the sea, but to a landscape reshaped by human presence.

From the Heart of "Touat"
Located approximately 1,400 kilometers from the capital, Algiers, the city of Adrar shines as the pearl of the Algerian South.
These captivating images, captured in 2018 in a small village along the road to Reggane, go beyond just documenting faces. They serve as a portal to the deep soul and timeless authenticity of the Algerian Sahara. In a place where sun-dried clay meets the golden whispers of the desert, beauty thrives in its simplest forms: a child’s laughter echoing under palm-leaf shadows, and the dignified presence of a woman draped in silence and serenity

Sitting by the sea often makes you realize a sense of balance in life

Between the sea and the sky, nature stands still, while humans move carefully within this balance.
No one dominates; all are part of a single system, where stillness and movement coexist without one overpowering the other.

Play: Al-Haribat (The Runaways)

‏In Al-Haribat, theater does not speak only through words, but through light, shadow, and the body. On a nearly bare stage, women move as if inside a photographic frame, trapped between darkness and the desire to survive.
‏Every face lit from one side, every shadow cutting across a body, turns the performance into a series of living images about fear, waiting, and escape from a heavy memory. Here, escape is not a physical movement, but a struggle to remain.
‏Through the lens, the characters appear like an unfinished group portrait: different stories, one frame, one shared fate. Light draws the borders of the prison, and silence speaks what words cannot.
‏Al-Haribat is a performance to be watched and to be seen — where theater becomes a visual space that reveals what we try to hide, leaving the human being exposed before
their truth.
