Mi nombre es Juan Lopez Spratt, soy un fotógrafo argentino que vive en República Dominicana hace unos 7 años. A lo largo de mi carrera, tanto en Argentina como en República Dominicana he cubierto eventos de primer nivel, proyectos inmobiliarios de gran envergadura y he recorrido los mejores lugares de cada país. Con todo esto he aprendido que lograr imágenes de alto impacto visual, que puedan tran

smitir de manera eficiente el mensaje que su negocio, empresa o evento necesita no es una tarea fácil y a diferencia de lo que muchos piensan, la fotografía es el pilar más importante a la hora de constituir la imagen institucional de una empresa o para promocionar un producto o vivienda. Mi objetivo es producir fotografías que impactan por su nivel de contenido, su composición / colores, imágenes que permanecerán en la retina de quien las mire por mucho tiempo. Todas las imágenes obtenidas están tomadas utilizando los mejores equipos DSLR, objetivos específicos para arquitectura o eventos sociales, y acabados a través de un sutil postprocesado cuya finalidad es presentar las imágenes de una forma natural.

7vs Wild - CASTAWAY
Castaway, filmed in one of those places that looks like paradise… until you actually have to work there.

This video is a small look into the production side of the project: the locations, the logistics, the heat, the sea, the terrain, the gear, and the reality behind creating images in an environment that is as beautiful as it is brutal.

Because even paradise has a darker side.

I worked on this project as part of the technical crew, helping bring the production to life in real conditions, far away from the comfort of a controlled set. This is not a full making-of or an official behind-the-scenes piece. It is my personal visual perspective of what it felt like to be there, surrounded by nature, pressure, cameras, and the constant reminder that nothing in a place like this is as simple as it looks.

Ok… Dominican Joe Annual Event happened… we need to talk.

Three days where everything just aligned in a way that’s hard to explain.
This wasn’t just an event… it was an experience.

Day one started at El Mosquito Beach. Vero, Carlos and the whole team welcomed us with incredible food and energy. From that moment, you could feel this was going to be different.

Day two took us to the school.
That’s where everything really hits. Seeing the impact up close changes your perspective completely.
Later, we moved to Playa Bonita Residence, where the Cabrera family hosted an amazing lunch, live music by Judd, and a vibe that made it clear something is evolving here.

And day three… Porto.
The perfect closing. Carlos’ food (as always, next level), the flawless support from Mosquito and their team, and a moment where everyone understood where this is going.

This day was also about something bigger: supporting everything the foundation is building for 2026 and 2027.

Personally, this year felt different.
After more than 12 years doing photo and video, I was more involved on the technical side, handling staging, lighting and visuals. The goal was simple: bring the event to the same level as the impact behind it.

I think we got there.

This wasn’t just an event.
Something changed.
