Saw this pop up on facebook. My first impression was - these people look nothing alike. Then I looked more closely and yes, their features are very similar. But why do they look so different. After a moment I realised that they have a completely different quality about them - that quality that makes them who they are. Unless we have another agenda, like that weird comparison thingie that some women do, we see beyond the features and into the soul.

I made another customer cry yesterday.

She opened the package that I had hand delivered due to its awkward size and tears sprung into her eyes. I should make sure I am around to see people's reactions to my photos of their children more often, its good for my soul - its when I know I did a good job.

I have a dilema of the digital age. I photographed the graduation party of a school last week and I am looking at the Photos. The Photos are beautiful individually but the Photos as a collections tell the story of the evening in such a beautiful way. I will put these Photos online and sell them individually but I would love to find a way to provide them as a Collection at a reasonable Price, yet still be able to earn a living from photogrphing events like this. Any ideas would be welcome.

Sandra and I thought it was time we went out and took some photos of Bastian. Here are the results, we are both very pleased. Just after the last shot, Bastian thought it was time to rejoin his mates in the padock and jumped the electric fence!! Then Sandra saved me from a stampeding mob (slight overexageration ;-) ) She is a fantastic horse woman.

I created this new page for my photography activities because I am getting a whole new logo and business name thanks to Charlotte Manstædt.

I asked Charlotte to help me write a press release and make a brochure for me and we had an indepth discussion on what photography means to me and what it is that I actually want to capture with my work so that we can target my communication.

We talked about the literal meaning of my last name as well and suddenly Charlotte was inspired. A few days later she sent me this amazing logo. It is beautifuly simple but contains all of the elements we talked about:
- Mirroring the soul
- Spiritual balance (yin/yang)
- Peace and inspiration

The circular camera lens is also present and my name is there too in the darkness and the creek.

There is also an element of my cheeky nature in how the moon peeks out from behind the hill I think - dont know if that is deliberate:-) It also links to the idea that I like to move around unseen and shoot my photos to catch people unaware.

I am also making a new web site which will be launched hopefully at the end of this week. I will keep the old emdia site for the photo shop only. I want the new site to be fast and a lot lighter in content.
