Like most travel blogs, this one is about a semi lazy guy (me) who finally did what a lot of people dream of, but only a handful succeed to do. I quit my job, sold my apartment and began a long ass bike trip from Denmark to India. I've tried planning my trip as best I can, but it's hard to plan something this big that you've never tried before, combined with my often "last minute" approach, and so

mewhat lack of fear, which often equals extreme, foolish and/or funny stories. So if you want to get inspired, or just want to laugh at my attempt to get about 14.000 kilometers from Denmark to India, then scroll on.

The bus fare in Cusco went up by half a Sol about a week ago, because somewhere far away a rotting tangerine keeps coughing into the machinery of the world. The students responded by hijacking a bus and driving it to the university, which is such a beautifully un-Danish solution that I almost want dual citizenship. The fare increase vanished more or less immediately, as they were threatening to keep doing it.

About a week ago in Peru, I came down from a hike from Chinchero to Urquillos and wandered straight into a local saint festival, which is exactly the sort of sentence that makes life sound much better planned than it really was. People were drinking beer, eating guinea pig, sleeping in the sun with great commitment, and then a short rain shower arrived and pushed us all together under cover. I took this photo there, squeezed in among a bunch of Peruvians sheltering from the rain, more or less by luck from the hip without really looking. After the rain stopped I got a ride back to reality in the back of a farmer’s truck.
