Which do you prefer?
One of the first thing I learned when I started shooting weddings, was to never shoot under trees in harsh sunlight, as I would get ‘sun spots’.
While sun spots may be a technical imperfection, they can also be quite charming ☺️🌞

One of the greatest compliments this year, was that Jon loved my photos because they reminded him of Wes Anderson.
So I was thrilled that I managed to capture this symmetrical graphical photo during our portrait session 🎉📸

Oftentimes my favorite photos are not from the portrait sessions. 90% of being a wedding photographer is more like being a reportage photographer, documenting all the small and weird things happening.
At Caroline and Jon’s beautiful wedding, Jon turned out to have a long running game of tag with his brother in law.
During his speech, Caroline’s brother challenged Jon to settle the game of tag. In the middle of dinner.
The result was a chaotic hunt around the tent, dodging guests, tables and waiters alike.

Shooting at slow shutter speeds the result was a series of fun and evocative photos that really captured the atmosphere at the wedding.

With 5 weddings and 3 elopements, the 2023 season has been a quiet one for me.

The main reason for this has been that my private life has been anything but quiet.
Me and Marie spawned baby-Anker. A happy little food-throwing p**p machine .
His immense cuteness factor makes him and Marie priority number one, so 2024 will be equally quiet for me (on the wedding front). In fact, this may be my first and last post this year 😂
I'm taking max 5 weddings, so if you're getting married this year and want me to document it, now is the time to shoot me an email 🎉

Us wedding photographers mostly pray for cloudy weather because it makes our jobs that much easier. In contrast full sun really forces you to think creatively to make the most of locations with little or no shade ☀️
