✨ Interesting fact, the Marble Church (Frederik’s Church) is actually not made out of marble at all! During construction, the original architect passed away in 1754, and as a result, construction was halted and the church stood as a half-finished ruin for over a hundred years before being picked up by another architect, on the condition that he follows the original architect’s plan. However, due to a tight budget, the new architect had to swap the marble with limestone blocks. The church finally opened in 1894, exactly 145 years after construction first began
