I am currently in Shark Bay, Western Australia, and the colors here are quite fantastic. The red sand rocks in high contrast to the turquoise waters of Shark Bay is a very beautiful sight.
These pictures were taken during a four-wheel drive in Francois Peron National Park to the tip of the peninsula. The landscape is amazing! There are no trees or bushes taller than 3 meters because of the lack of fresh water. It rarely rains but in the evening when the warm and moist air is cooled down, the water condenses leaving a quite wet surface all around. It is though still the dehydration and not the many venomous animals you really have to be aware of. And still, numerous species are adapted to this hostile environment. It should be the perfect place to be if you can manage, however, it is not today. Here, at a fair distance from civilization, there should be room for nature but feral cats and foxes are destroying the precious endemic wildlife.
