When You’re young every sensation cuts deep… As years pass those sharp edges tends to fade… That’s what I’ve learned and been convinced about, until I went to fulfill my biggest dream - finally visiting Japan.
As soon as I’ve stepped out of the hotel Tokyo hit me with its full force… The lights, the food and the unexpected silence, which is odd to associate with worlds largest city, but that’s silence is what I’ve found truly enchanting, while exploring many unknown and new places - it swallows You. Beginning from quiet Temple’s paths, through hidden little city side alleys, to even places so crowded as city metro. Silence connects here in very strong way with respect, and that’s something I’ve truly appreciated to experience on my own in my time being here. Surely Shinjuku and Shibuya roar with life, but step beyond the neon glow of the entertainment districts, and the world falls quiet in its enveloping peace. Being here feels like meditation in motion. By the third day You’re walking 25-30km, and it feels as natural as breathing. You walk, you explore… Totally present. Wandering often off track into less known areas, I’ve started noticing that even each and one of them has their own texture, history, and truly original vibe which made exploring them a one of a kind experience, every single time. Every house, truck, 7eleven - each bears Japanese signature - everything felt new again. I don’t think I’m capable of pointing out one favourite thing about Japan, since each one of those things has different measure of impact and appreciation of its own. Been so many times blown away here that I’ve lost count. But I’m very confident, that those two weeks here will be carved in my head forever, as the most incredible, joyful and entertaining in my life - in the place where from day one - I felt like I’ve always belonged to…❤️
