I’m honestly tired of treating my business way too casually.
You give some clients an inch and they take a mile. Free content, extra requests, constantly meeting people halfway — and sometimes you don’t even get a simple “thank you.”
And don’t get me wrong: This absolutely doesn’t apply to all of my clients. Quite the opposite. 🫶 I get to work with so many amazing people and bands who truly value what I do and remind me why I love this job.
But loving my job doesn’t make my work worth any less. I still have bills and rent to pay.
Maybe I just need to get better at setting boundaries.
So I’m curious: Fellow photographers, content creators & bands — where do you draw the line between going the extra mile and feeling like your work is being taken for granted?
