Cape Buffalo are one of Africa's famous Big Five animals, and perhaps their most dangerous due to their notoriously unpredictable behavior. Living in an environment filled with predators like leopards, lions, and hyenas means ruthless survival instincts are necessary and Cape Buffalo have them. When herd members become old, weak, or sick, they will forcefully remove those members from their herds. These rejected buffalo seek other rejected buffalo and refuge in safe places, like this blind buffalo found along the Kazinga Channel in Uganda.
