Masters of Wedding Photography – Photographer of the Year 2025
Zum zweiten Jahr in Folge. Ich sitze hier, starre auf den Bildschirm und merke: Das hier braucht einen Moment, um überhaupt bei mir anzukommen. Letztes Jahr war schon unglaublich und dieses Jahr kann ich es erst recht nicht fassen.
Ich konnte erneut die Gesamtwertung der Masters of Wedding Photography gewinnen – dem renommiertesten Wettbewerb für Hochzeitsfotografie im deutschsprachigen Raum. Und nicht nur das: 24 Awards in einem Jahr.
Damit habe ich gleichzeitig eine Marke geknackt, die sich komplett surreal anfühlt:�über 100 ausgezeichnete Bilder insgesamt bei den .
Masters begleitet mich seit 2015. Als Teilnehmer, zeitweise auch als Community Manager. Und jetzt, zwei Jahre hintereinander ganz oben zu stehen, ist etwas, das ich mir damals niemals hätte ausmalen können.
Aber bei all den Zahlen, Titeln und Rankings gibt es eine Sache, die mir am wichtigsten ist: Meine Bilder entstehen nicht wegen Wettbewerben. Sie entstehen, weil mir Menschen ihr Vertrauen schenken. Weil ihr mich nah an euch ranlasst.�Weil ihr mir erlaubt, echte Momente festzuhalten – ungefiltert, ungestellt, ehrlich.
Danke an jedes einzelne Brautpaar. Ihr seid der Grund, warum diese Bilder existieren. Und der Grund, warum diese Auszeichnungen überhaupt möglich sind.
Und natürlich Glückwunsch an alle Kolleg:innen, die dieses Jahr ausgezeichnet wurden – besonders an meine ganzen Freunde in den Top 10. Ihr treibt diese Branche voran – und es ist eine Ehre neben euch Teil davon zu sein.
Nein, Auszeichnungen definieren nicht wer man ist, ob man gute oder schlechte Arbeit macht. Aber sie sind ein Zeichen dafür, dass der eigene Weg, die eigene Haltung und der dokumentarische Ansatz gesehen und gewürdigt werden.

Ich bin unfassbar dankbar, komplett überwältigt und vor allem motivierter denn je, weiter genau das zu tun, woran ich glaube:
Geschichten erzählen.�Echte Momente zeigen.�Hochzeiten so fotografieren, wie sie sich anfühlen – nicht wie sie aussehen sollen.

🇺🇸 Masters of Wedding Photography – Photographer of the Year 2025
For the second year in a row. I'm sitting here, staring at the screen, and realizing: This is going to take a moment to sink in. Last year was incredible, and this year I can't believe it even more.
I won the overall ranking of Masters of Wedding Photography again – the most prestigious competition for wedding photography in the German-speaking world. And not only that: 24 awards in one year.
At the same time, I broke a record that feels completely surreal: over 100 award-winning images in total at Masters of Wedding Photography - DE, CH & AT.
Masters has been with me since 2015. As a participant, and at times also as a community manager. And now, to be at the top for two years in a row is something I could never have imagined back then.
But with all the numbers, titles, and rankings, there is one thing that matters most to me: my pictures are not created for competitions. They are created because people place their trust in me. Because you let me get close to you. Because you allow me to capture real moments—unfiltered, unposed, honest.
Thank you to every single bride and groom. You are the reason these pictures exist. And the reason these awards are possible in the first place.
And of course, congratulations to all my colleagues who received awards this year – especially to all my friends in the top 10. You are driving this industry forward – and it is an honor to be part of it alongside you.
No, awards don't define who you are or whether you do good or bad work. But they are a sign that your own path, your own attitude, and your documentary approach are seen and appreciated.

I am incredibly grateful, completely overwhelmed, and above all, more motivated than ever to continue doing exactly what I believe in:
