Seit 2012 vergibt Schloss Dennenlohe mit IGPOTY den europäsichen Gardenphoto Award (EGPA). Die Zusammenarbeit mit den "International Photographers of the Year“ und der ‚GardenMediaGuild’ einer sehr renommierten englischen Institution ist mit 1.000 Euro für die ersten drei Plätze dotiert und wird von Baronin Süsskind überreicht und gesponsort. Ende Oktober ist immer Einsendeschluß für den "Europea

n GardenPhoto Award", der zeitgleich mit dem European Garden Book Award und dem Deutschen Gartenbuchpreis alljährlich im darauffolgenden März auf Schloss Dennenlohe verliehen wird. In the stillness of an early winter dawn, Schlosspark Dennenlohe unfolded in a symphony of light and silence. As the sun rose between the trees, its molten glow transformed the frozen pond into a canvas of liquid amber and gold. The red Japanese bridge, poised in quiet contemplation, offered a gentle counterpoint to the luminous expanse. I combined two exposures together to achieve the best lighting conditions.

Just a few minutes after sunrise in September, the light was so delicate that it shone through every blade of the Achnatherum, tracing its subtle outlines without overpowering them. Gradually, the sunbeams illuminated the other grasses and perennials in the beds of the Staudenwiese garden.

Nestled on a hillside in northern Brittany, Kestellic Garden revealed a tapestry of exotic plants and trees. In mid-May, white calla lilies and yellow primroses bordered the winding path, their vivid hues contrasted with countless shades of green. As the sun dipped low, the shrubs entwined branches caught the fading light, casting a serene, contemplative mood over the lush borders.
