The Marwari were the war horses of the Rajputs in India. They are famous for their sickle-shaped ears. Indeed they almost became instinct, and then a few old, rich families made a commitment to start breeding them and have made them an object of prestige in India again.

The Kladrubers of Kladruby nad Labem National Stud in the Czech Republic, with their characteristic Roman noses, are an old and rare breed. They were originally bred as carriage horses for the imperial court and the clergy. They are always either grey or black, however the black horses are only to be found at the Slatiňany Stud near Prague.

For the Haflinger stallion "Maisturm" from Pony-Park Padenstedt, this is his first experience of galloping through the sea. As you can see, he is thoroughly enjoying it, and is not in the least afraid of the water. The mares and their young riders are also enjoying the escapade.

Egypt and its horses

Souvenirs d'Egypte. Au pied des pyramides existe cette écurie d'élevage, oasis dans une ville en constante expansion. Grâce à mon amie Gabrielle Boiselle, j'ai pu y vivre le cheval arabe dans toute son authenticité.

Mittlerweile sind alle Fohlen zur Welt gekommen und entwickeln sich toll. Es ist so spannend zu erleben, wie sich die kleinen Wesen gerade in den ersten Lebenswochen verändern. Ein ausgiebiger Schönheitsschlaf – wie hier bei der kleinen Tara – gehört selbstverständlich dazu 😉♥

In the meantime, all foals have been born and are developing very well. It is so exciting to see how the little characters change, especially in the first weeks of their lifes. An extensive beauty sleep - like here little Tara - is of course part of it 😉♥
