Ich bin Lucas Jones, ein engagierter Fotograf aus Kaiserslautern mit deutsch-amerikanischen Wurzeln. Seit 2019 begleite ich meine Kunden professionell bei Hochzeiten, Events und Festivals und biete individuelle Porträtfotografie, um unvergessliche Momente festzuhalten. Been wanting to get more into video editing lately, but time’s been running fast.
Still took a little break for a photoshoot in Schwetzingen. That place just has a vibe. The gardens, the calm, the whole atmosphere feels kinda timeless.
Schwetzingen really is one of those spots that makes every shot look clean without even trying.

Hey, I’m Lucas. I’m 25, half German and half American. I grew up mostly in Germany but also spent part of my life in the US. I started photography in 2019 as a hobby and in 2024 I decided to take it more seriously, focusing on weddings, portraits and events.

My brand is called JonesBeck. It’s a mix of my American and German roots.
What I enjoy most about photography is the storytelling. Meeting people, capturing real emotions and showing them those moments later is what makes it special for me. My goal is to create photos that feel personal, timeless and true to who you are.

Outside of photography I like to travel, spend time with friends after a busy week and explore new places. If the weather fits you will probably see me in a hoodie. Music also plays a big role in my life. I mostly listen to hip hop and would love to one day photograph Tyler the Creator or Kendrick Lamar in concert.

I’ve been doing photography for years, just as a hobby. I never took it seriously because I didn’t believe I could take those kinds of photos. But with some effort and a bit of vision, you can make it happen. Don’t give up just try. You might be better than you think.

Breaking into the festival photography scene isn’t easy. It takes connections, timing, and a little luck just to get your foot in the door. But we’re not stopping anytime soon 🫡

First time shooting at a small venue, and what an experience! 📸 was cozy, intimate and challenging! No photo pit meant I was perched on a little stool in the back, doing my best to catch some shots in the dim light. It wasn’t easy, but watching , and perform made it all worth it. Their energy filled the room, and I loved every second of it. Can’t wait for the next one! 🍾

I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a wedding over two days, and it was such an amazing experience! From start to finish, everyone was so warm, welcoming, and full of joy, which made my work feel less like a job and more like being part of a celebration. One thing that really stood out to me was the choice of location—Erbeskopf. I never knew it was even possible to hold a wedding there, and it completely exceeded my expectations.

Even though it was a bit cold, it added a certain charm to the whole experience. Especially in the morning hours, when the area was covered in fog, the atmosphere felt almost otherworldly. The mist wrapping around the trees and the quiet stillness created a magical backdrop that was perfect for capturing intimate and emotional moments. It was such a unique and beautiful setting, and it added so much depth to the photos.

The couple’s energy, the stunning scenery, and the love shared by everyone made it a truly unforgettable event. I feel so lucky to have been a part of it!

Can’t wait to see what this year holds when it comes to festivals. Got a little taste of it back in September, and I absolutely loved the experience. Learned a lot, soaked it all in, and really enjoyed being out there. Here’s to hoping for more opportunities to shoot festivals this year and keep the momentum going!
