Today is Halloween 🧟♂️ and what better way is there to celebrate Halloween than doing it in the Hollywood Studios of Universal, which released many Horror Films like "Halloween" (the story about Michael Myers). Actually, don't watch the latest installment - Halloween Kills - it's not worth the money.
Well, Universal Studios is a Themepark with a couple of great rides and during Halloween Time it's time for the Halloween Horror Nights. Back in 2019 by chance we were in the studios during that time and after a day with lots of fun, for the evening we bought tickets for the Halloween Horror Nights (HHN), a great idea ;)
For HHN a couple of "normal" rides (like the Harry Potter area) and the studio tours are closed. Instead of these rides, you'll find the park is fully "halloweened" with many pumpkins and especially instead of those rides: Mazes! If you get frightened quite easy, this is nothing for you. But the mazes are really great. After each meter you expect something to happen and when there's actually someone coming at you, you definitely get frightened (at least in the beginning). After some time, this became some real fun (especially when the friend, you're traveling with, gets frightened EVERY SINGLE TIME) :D
Instead of the studio tours, you'll have some mazes down in the studios area (there were at least 5 mazes). We did most of them, but to get there, you'll have to go through a tunnel. No, it's not just a normal tunnel, there's a warning: ACID. What do you expect there? Of course, Zombies! A really great setting, which I really enjoyed.
But one of the best things: In the main park are people running around with chainsaws, with REAL chainsaws (except for the running blade) and frighten all the people walking around. They can come after every corner, after every bush.
Here are a couple of pictures from the evening. Maybe, I'll write a full story on the day tomorrow ;)
