Happy 🏸
It’s crazy to think that badminton has been such a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.
It all started when I was 7 years old, hitting shuttles with my dad, and before I knew it, I was traveling all around Germany playing national tournaments as a junior. Those memories will always have a special place in my heart. Even though becoming a professional player wasn’t the path life had planned for me, I never fell out of love with the sport. If anything, that love has only grown stronger.
Fast forward a few years, and now I get to work full-time in badminton, travel the world, and be part of this incredible community from the sidelines. Some days I still have to pinch myself because I never imagined this would be my life.
The biggest gift badminton has given me isn’t just the opportunities, it’s the people. I’ve met some of the most genuine, inspiring people through this sport and made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. It’s pretty amazing that no matter where we’re all from, we all speak the same language when it comes to badminton. That shared passion connects us in such a special way.
One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to watch some of my friends compete at the highest level and being there to witness some of the biggest moments of their careers. Being so close to those moments is something I’ll never, ever take for granted.
When I look back, I honestly don’t think I’d be the person I am today without badminton. This sport has shaped me, challenged me, introduced me to some of my favorite people, and taken me to places I never dreamed I’d go.
For all of that, I’ll always be grateful.
Happy World Badminton Day🩷
