Today we want to present our last "𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗞|𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀" video for this year! This time a non-human colleague plays a big role.🤖

𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗻 helps us with difficult and repetitive tasks, especially together with our small K I Lens sensor he is a big help to make smaller areas visible.
And besides of that he is a very friendly and rather quiet colleague.😉

The year 2024 draws slowly to an end, and we're still working hard on our projects. But of course it is also important to take little breaks.

It is time for our next video of the "𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗞|𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀" series. Our CTO Klaus Illgner explains how we take images in our lab in order to get the famous 𝟵 views.💥

Thanks to this technology, we are able to get 𝟯𝗗 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱𝘀 only by taking 𝟭 picture with our patented 𝗞|𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀 and processing it trough our software.💪

We started the advent season last week with a fun team evening, enjoying a German cultural beverage. We did our own German "𝗚𝗹ü𝗵𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗻" with red wine and some spices and transformed it into "𝗙𝗲𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲" with high-percentage rum and a sugar cone. Additionally, we enjoyed the matching snacks.🎉

To keep it the traditional way, we did the "𝗙𝗲𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲" while watching the famous classic German movie with the same name. As you can see, it got really heated, and even our little visitor's had big eyes watching the sugar cone burn.🔥

Thanks to the team for this amazing evening and off to many others!

We at K I Lens love to push the boundaries!

It happens that we have clients that sometimes have space and power constraints. Here, we show an evaluation of our AI models on different types of devices ranging from edge-compute systems (e.g. Jetson AGX Orin) and AI accelerators (e.g. Hailo-8) to workstation GPUs (e.g. RTX4090).

Our test with the Jetson Orin AGX and Hailo-8 indicates high energy efficiency, making it suitable for edge applications where power constraints are critical, such as battery-powered devices, embedded or IoT systems. Desktop GPUs like the NVIDIA RTX 4090 provide significantly higher frames per second (FPS) but at the cost of substantially higher power consumption and hardware costs.
Depending on the needs of the client, we are able to tweak and run our AI models on all manner of devices.

Last week our team had the opportunity to participate in a negotiation seminar with Andreas Goßen. We benefited from the way he managed to present us with the different tactics of negotiating in a playful environment. This way, we got to know how to get the "Stinky Fish" on the table and why it is important to comply with previously defined roles.

Thanks again to Andreas and to Halle4 in Saarbrücken, a coworking space where the seminar took place. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the tasty coffee and the good infrastructure there, as you can see in the pictures.😉
