During my stay in Morocco I had the chance to meet a few locals and one of my favourite connections was with this beautiful amazigh lady.
It was a lucky coincidence that on this day it was rainy and instead of taking a surf class I went on a hike with our local surf teacher. We visited his grandmother who lived on the hill next to the village.
The Amazigh people are so welcoming, warm and kind - it was beautiful. She invited me into her house, made tea and gave me something to eat - a typical gesture of moroccan hospitality. She had the purest soul - not owning many material things, living in a small house she built with her husband long ago without any heating - but still sharing everything she has with a stranger.
This encounter changed me forever.

Time is short and the world is wide. Don't wait. Do what makes you happy right now.

Sometimes you have to remind yourself, you know? Say it to yourself in the mirror. Make a promise to yourself. And keep it. Be happy.

Don't listen to the voices in your head telling you that you can't do it. Because at the end of the day, this is your life. So live it.

A few months ago I first visited this place and I was thinking: wow, I wonder how it would be to live here? And now, 3 months later, I actually live here. Right at the lake. It's the same feeling when being in the mountains. Only that I don't have to go anywhere. Thank you universe 🌟

Have you ever been on a sunrise hike?
This was a few weeks back, when the trees were still in autumn mode and the first snow was falling in the mountains. What a magical view! The contrast of yellow leaves and the white snow was just so beautiful. If I would have to choose, I think I'd prefer winter above summer hikes. What about you?

Sometimes your progress will look like a flat path instead of a mountain. But it is still progress.
Sometimes there will be clouds in front of the sun. That doesn't mean it's not shining.
Give yourself some rest and acknowledge how far you have come. You are doing great!

Doesn't this look like Scandinavia? This weekend was the snowiest I have experienced in Germany for many years. I believe the last time was 19 years ago. In Munich (in the city!) there fell over 40cm snow in one night! It was like waking up to winter wonderland, I was feeling like a little kid!
Do you also get excited for so much snow?
