Efficiency is the ultimate luxury, but for years, I was living in a deficit. I was a slave to the post-process, spending more time staring at a calibrated monitor than a viewfinder.

I wasn’t taking photos. I was just collecting data to "fix" later. My EDC was a burden of "what ifs" shooting RAW and pre-calculating Lightroom masks while the actual moment passed me by.

The Fuji x100v killed that cycle. It forced a necessary mindset shift: trading the safety net of RAW for the decisiveness of a film simulation. By committing to a JPG, the "edit" happens before the shutter clicks, not weeks later during a soul-sucking editing session.

It’s a return to intent. No more screen time, no more backlog, no more perfectionism-induced paralysis.
Straight out of the camera, straight into the album. I’m finally shooting for the result, not the edit.

If you can’t get it right in-camera, you’re just a technician, not a photographer.
