Know your cats!

To celebrate International Leopard Day yesterday, check out our new Spot the Difference Poster! We managed to print a couple of hundred of these just before lockdown - they will be destined for schools around the country when our movement restrictions are lifted and the schools reopen!

How old is your elephant?

It`s not easy to age elephants correctly but a good age estimate helps to identify them. Bull elephants continue continue to grow steadily throughout their lives and so do their tusks. Have a look at these hints and try to age elephants the next time you encounter them in the field 😉

Tomorrow is World Lion Day, and poaching of captive lions is on the increase.
Do not visit captive carnivores. They are being exploited, and may be abused and poached. Stop the visits, stop the cycle.
Take the pledge to keep them - visit www.ewt.org.za for more.

Well done, indeed, North Luangwa!

During the first half of 2018 we had no detected poached elephant in North Luangwa National Park. This is the first time in over a decade at this stage of the year. The growing rhino population remains unaffected by poaching since it's reintroduction. 🐘🦏🤗 In the current poaching climate, a great achievement and a testament to the successful efforts of all involved – well done!
