Hot take: some planned moments are absolutely worth planning for.✨💛
There are very few things I will actively encourage couples to plan into their wedding timeline. A sparkler exit is one of them.
Not because I need it for photos, but because it creates a moment. A real pause at the end of the night where everyone comes together again before everything is suddenly over.
And visually? The mix of movement, chaos, light and emotion always feels a little cinematic in the best possible way.“

Not the loud moments everyone expects,
but the quiet ones most people don’t even notice.🧡

Because the truth is, these moments don’t happen in front of the camera, but they happen in between. When no one is watching and when nothing is being directed.
A quick glance down.
A small hand reaching up.
A breath in the middle of everything.
You can’t force that and you definitely can’t recreate it later.
That’s why I don’t believe in constantly posing or interrupting what’s already there. I’ll guide when it’s needed, but I’ll always leave space for things to unfold on their own.✨

Where a destination wedding really begins🧡
One thing I always recommend for destination weddings: a get together the evening before.
When guests travel from different places and often don’t know each other yet, this is the moment where everything slowly comes together. The first hugs, glasses of wine, laughter between people who have just met, but are already sharing something special.
It takes away the rush of the wedding day itself. People arrive, settle in, connect and the whole celebration starts to feel much more relaxed and natural.
And honestly, some of the most beautiful moments happen right there. The quiet anticipation, the excitement in the air, friends and family meeting for the first time.
That’s exactly why it’s something I always love to photograph as well. Because the story of a destination wedding doesn’t start with the ceremony. It starts here.✨

When you take color away, there’s nowhere to hide. No distraction, no trend, no palette to lean on. What remains is light, texture, movement and the way two people truly exist together.
Black and white forces honesty and it turns a moment into something quieter, deeper, more intentional.
