The night before Selina and Joachim said forever, they gathered everyone they love for something wonderfully simple: pizza under the Tuscan sky.

At Il Verreno, tucked into the hills above Ambra in the heart of Chianti, just an hour south of Florence, the golden evening light melted over the vineyards while laughter, wine and thin crispy pizza brought two families together for the very first time as one.

No fuss, no formality, just good food, warm hugs and the quiet excitement of what was about to come. Because sometimes the best way to start a wedding weekend is with a slice of pizza and the people who matter most.

Almost a year ago we photographed this stunning wedding at Wiblingen Abbey in Ulm. The couple threw a celebration that was entirely their own, styled around the theme of Beauty and the Beast. Long tables dressed in candles and old books set the scene, and the whole evening felt like something out of a storybook.

We still think back to this day often. Happy first anniversary to a couple who knows how to celebrate in style 🕯️📖

Almost a year ago we photographed this stunning wedding at Wibblingen Abbey in Ulm. The couple threw a celebration that was entirely their own, styled around the theme of Beauty and the Beast. Getting ready to “I do.” Clara and Fabian’s wedding day in Berlin, and honestly it felt less like a classic wedding and more like one big family celebration.

Lace buttons, family helping each other into ivory suits, pearl heels by the door, Clara laughing in the mirror, Fabian signing something with a glass of wine within reach. Everyone in and out of the room all morning, helping, laughing, getting ready together. Then the walk outside toward the vows.

Berlin in summer, an old house full of character, and a family who just wanted to be close to each other. Exactly our kind of day.

Maria and Johannes didn’t simply want a wedding day. They wanted an entire weekend with the people closest to them, and it was a privilege to document all of it.

Friday began quietly, pizza and wine shared among family and friends at Tenuta Casteani, a private wine estate set among the Tuscan hills, reserved entirely for them for the weekend.

On Saturday, the ceremony took place in the estate’s wine cellar, candlelight against stone walls and barrels of wine surrounding them. The evening unfolded into dinner as the light turned golden, followed by dancing that carried well into the night. Sunday brought a slower rhythm, coffee on the terrace, quiet mornings, the last echoes of the weekend still lingering.

Three days, one exceptional couple, and a place that made every moment feel entirely their own.

Thank you, Maria and Johannes, for letting us be part of it.
