Almost ever person i meet in person tells me:

"i also want to be outside like you, it´s such a nice day with sunny weather, but i have to stay until..."

Have you also said that or thought that in the last weeks?

Because you might have fixed hours to work.
Because you have a certain amount of time you have to stay at the office.
Because you can´t decided when you come and go based on your energy level.

Now you might say...WHAT, based on my ENERGY LEVEL?

Yep, you hear me right.

Especially women are struggling with that in their work environment.
Because we can´t decide freely our pensum we stay at work.
And the worst thing: Based on the outcome produced.

TIME and OUTCOME is often diconnected or not seen.

That was the reason why working in an office environment was the reason why i lost my joy in doing so.

- I didnt love what i do anymore because i was forced to stay fixed hours.

- My output wasnt seen compared to people who just "sit" at work and wait until time is over.

- And i couldnt choose freely on my energy levels when i come and go - which would have been so much better for the company. Because i can produce in 1 hour more output in the morning that in 3 hours in the afternoon.

What are your daily struggles in your work environment?

Bed time Stories...

It´s all about documentary business photography here, but behind the scenes i´m also doing photoshootings for holiday rentals on a regular basis.

So this is my second branch of photography services that i offer and it all started when i almost fell asleep one sunday night.

I had the idea to shoot holiday rentals, wrote a quick message and very quickly i got a response that i´m in.

So me bed time story message is:

Dont underestimate the ideas, dreams and wished you have before you fall asleep.
Because they might be the very source of your next step, your new income level, your new life, reality...!

When i was a child i had these biiiig dream.

Over time they got a bit blurred.

Not because i forgoth but because i wasnt sure anymore if this was my TRUE NORTH STAR where i want to be heading.

From art school to art university specialising in architecture to working in architecture offices and specialising again into natural building and earth construction.

But in the end... after 15+ years working towards becoming a specialist in my field, i realised something that shocked me!

I´ve forgotten but unconsciously of where i want my path to head towards.

This year is the path to redirecting and answering the question of:

What i want to be when i grow up?

And trust me, it´s much deeper than "about work".

Living room Stories...

It´s all about documentary business photography here, but behind the scenes i´m also doing photoshootings for holiday rentals on a regular basis.

Not because i´ve intentionally choosen to shoot this type but because life directed me into this very specific niche.

And now it´s my weekly companion of visiting peoples living rooms making professional photos of their rentals and their future guests.

It´s fun, it´s easy and i love all the connection that evolved until today through shooting in that specific genre.

Kitchen Stories...

It´s all about documentary business photography here, but behind the scenes i´m also doing photoshootings for holiday rentals on a regular basis.

Not because i´ve intentionally choosen to shoot this type but because life directed me into this very specific niche.

Since my first shooting at a clients place this year i continued and still love it.

What about the kitchen story?

I didnt have a proper kitchen for the last 3-4 years and whenever i went to a photoshooting at a holiday rental i fancied even more to have a functioning, clean and beautiful kitchen in my daily life.

I´m okay with having a very minimalistic life but now it was time again to have a place with a "normal" kitchen.

That´s how it all started...me manifesting a place with a kitchen (again).

Visiting all those place made my wish even stronger.
It didnt make me envious it rather motivated me to formulate my wish stronger.

And it worked out. After some months i found a place with a cool kitchen.

Long story short...

Good work doesn’t guarantee visibility
Neither does when you copy some elses´dream.

In the past I´ve seen so many people starting their own business online,
but very few sustain.

Whenever I meet an artist for a documentary photoshooting session many have either a side job or years of experience in their field.

But what about the ones pivoting or not knowing where there real place in this world belongs to?

Well, then you´ve left out one major question when you started your business in the first place:

WHO AM I?

It´s as simple as that.

When you can answer this question in simple words you´re set for success.

Don´t mimic someone else or try to fit into a box, frame or template from someone.
