I am Luis Sarabia, Photographer artist and the creator of: Wellness and Therapeutic Photography Method: Nature's Movement Photography (NMP)

Photographer | Athlete. Born in Havana, Cuba, 1968

High-performance trainer for artistic gymnastics | acrobat | circus artist | personal trainer Lives and works in Mallorca and Dresden

When he was only 6 years old, he started doing gymnastics and devoted himself body and soul to the sport. For three years in a row, he is named national youth champion. In 1983, he won a spectacular 8 gold medals

in a single competition and thus received the award for the most outstanding athlete of the year in his country. At the age of 18, he retired from competitive sports and began his career as a professional acrobat at the Moscow Circus School. He has worked in more than 25 countries and has appeared in numerous world-famous shows. At the 1993 World Circus Festival in Verona, he and his group of artists won the silver medal. The autodidact has been working with the camera as a means of expressing his observations and feelings towards people in urban areas since his early youth. In his first solo exhibition in the Holger John gallery, Sarabia shows black and white photographs of the mood of the people in Dresden. His visual studies, across all social classes, are characterized by a highly sensitive view of the photographer on the people of this city, which focuses on individual beauty and personality. Collecting photography in art has become the beginning of a great passion for many people in recent years. Friends!

I have the genuine pleasure of inviting you all to my second solo exhibition, titled:

"Zwischen Empathie und Ernüchterung"

"Entre Empatía y Desengaño" and my official writing debut.

For those who came to my previous show, I'll be presenting a curated selection of the same Empathic Photography you've already seen. The difference? For the very first time, these familiar images will be paired with my most sincere chronicles, notes, and aphorisms.

You will discover the paradoxical, divided soul behind the lens: the beauty of the image versus the disillusionment of the word. It will be a full journey into the mind of this detached chronicler of the human condition.

It may be a long shot for some, but if the universe happens to bring you to Germany, specifically Dresden.

I would truly love to see you there.
