The first coffee always tastes different outside.

Maybe it’s the fresh air.
Maybe it’s the silence.
Or maybe it’s knowing the only thing on today’s schedule is to keep walking.

A slow morning.
A packed backpack.
And miles of trail waiting ahead.

I thought the mountains would impress me.

I didn’t expect them to make me feel so small.

The clouds kept hiding the peaks, as if they wanted to remind us that not everything has to reveal itself at once.

Some places don’t ask you to understand them.

They simply ask you to stand still for a moment.

And somehow, that’s enough.
