Athens caught me completely off guard.
Every street told a different story through layers of graffiti and stickers. I didn’t expect it—and that’s exactly what made it so fascinating.
These photos were all taken in Exarchia, one of Athens’ most distinctive neighborhoods. Known for its strong anti-fascist and anarchist traditions, Exarchia has long been a place of political activism, student movements, and artistic expression. Its walls have become an open-air archive of protest, history, and creativity—where nearly every mural, sticker, and slogan has a story to tell.
A side of Athens I never expected, but one I won’t forget.
