The many emotions and memories that tie into a photo like this are incomprehensible.
She’s looking at the field we later ran around through the sprinkles on at midnight after our first legal beer at 16 in a pub in Germany while watching football.
I see her looking onward without a clue of the heartbreak to come 4 months later.
I see the window we would jump in and out of giving each other and our teammates a fright all week erupting in laughter.
She had the biggest smile that brought light into everyone’s life.
I see a rugby ball… Rugby took her places and she would have gone so far with rugby.
I see a girl on the brink of becoming a woman who had a significant life ahead of her.
