After eight years of being in a relationship with a former ballerina and having met many dancers and heard their stories, I found myself deeply intrigued by their love for their craft and their relentless hunger for perfection.
I have also observed how profoundly broken they can often appear. They live and breathe ballet, pushing their bodies and souls to the limit in obsessive pursuit of the perfect “line”.
Each pirouette, each arabesque, becomes a metaphor for their journey—a journey marked by pain, passion, and unwavering dedication.
�Through this series, I aim to capture not only how they appear from the outside but also delve into their internal struggles and illuminate the sacrifices they are willing to make for their art.
